Dynamically Generate Images and QR in Certificates
Smart Certificates allows dynamic insertion of user-uploaded images (like photos or IDs) and auto-generated QR codes into your certificate templates.
File Upload → Image Mapping
If your Google Form includes a File Upload question (e.g., Upload your photo):
• Add an image placeholder to your Google Slides template such as {{Photo}}
.
• Uploaded files must have “Anyone with the link can view” access. Otherwise, the certificate generator won’t be able to insert the image.
• In the Merge Fields tab of the add-on, map the file upload field (e.g., Upload your photo
) to the corresponding placeholder {{Photo}}
.
• The uploaded image will be inserted and scaled proportionally in the placeholder area.
Note: Ensure the uploaded file is an image (JPG, PNG). Non-image files won’t appear.
QR Code Insertion
You can also insert a scannable QR code into each certificate dynamically.
How it works:
• Use the placeholder {{QR}}
in your template.
• Choose the field to encode (e.g., Email, Certificate ID, or Verification Link) when configuring the QR code in the add-on.
• The QR code will be generated and inserted at the placeholder’s position.
