Merge Multiple Placeholders in a Certificate
Smart Certificates allows you to personalize certificates by merging multiple placeholders — dynamically replacing them with form response data, images, or AI-generated content.
What Are Placeholders?
Placeholders are tags you insert in your Google Slides template to represent dynamic content.
They are written inside double curly braces like {{Full Name}}
, {{Score}}
, or {{Certificate ID}}
.
How to Merge Multiple Placeholders
Open the Smart Certificates add-on in your Google Form. 2. In the Certificate Settings tab, Navigate to the Placeholder Mapper. 3. Click the ➕ button to add mappings for:
• Text fields (e.g., {{Full Name}}
, {{Course Title}}
)
• Images (e.g., {{Photo}}
)
• Date (e.g., {{Date}}
)
• QR Codes (e.g., {{QR}}
)
• AI Responses (e.g., {{Custom Summary}}
)
• Each mapped field will be automatically replaced in the certificate template when it’s generated.
